Privacy Policy

Effective July 15, 2026

K Metal Work & Design ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through kmetalwork.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have — including your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

1. Information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us. When you request a quote, contact us, apply for a job, or create a customer portal account, you may provide your name, email, phone number, company, project address, project details, uploaded files or drawings, and any message content.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect device and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and interactions — through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
  • Information from service providers. Payment and accounting partners confirm transaction status back to us; we never receive your full card number.

2. How we use your information

  • Prepare and deliver quotes, estimates, and contracts;
  • Perform, schedule, and support fabrication and installation work;
  • Process deposits and payments, and reconcile invoices with our accounting system;
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
  • Evaluate job applications;
  • Improve our website and services through analytics, and — where you have not opted out — measure advertising performance;
  • Comply with legal, tax, and contractor-licensing obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run our business:

  • Hosting & database — our website host and Supabase (database, authentication, file storage);
  • File storage & delivery — Cloudflare (R2 object storage and content delivery);
  • Payments — Square and/or Stripe (deposit and payment processing);
  • Accounting — Xero (invoicing and reconciliation);
  • Email & messaging — Resend (transactional email) and our telephony/SMS providers;
  • Analytics & advertising — Google Analytics, PostHog, and Meta (Facebook) Pixel & Conversions API;

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers or others.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site function and for analytics and advertising measurement. Advertising measurement is configured for Limited Data Use to align with California requirements. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to request a quote or use the site. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising through your device and platform settings.

5. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected] or (714) 660-2125. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

6. Data retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children

Our website and services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective” date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
